Getty Images Gallery to Open New Space

Getty Images will open a new branch of its gallery tomorrow in a London shopping centre near the Olympic village.

Getty Images is delighted to announce it will occupy a prestigious exhibition space at the new Westfield Stratford City, Europe’s largest urban shopping centre, opening on Tuesday, 13 September, 2011. Sponsored by Nikon, the opening exhibition will showcase a unique selection of London’s most iconic photography from the past, honouring the city’s rich visual history, and reflecting East London’s unique creative spirit.

The gallery will occupy a prime location on the main thoroughfare, a 30 second walk from the entrance to Olympic Park, alongside brands including, Omega, The White Company and Jamie’s Italian to name but a few. The space will feature stunning floor-to-ceiling windows which will display Getty Images world-renown visual content, giving the public access to a range of the company’s exclusive high-end imagery.
