Alamy introduces new photography scholarship
Alamy is providing a second scholarship award to support the work of the Young Photographers Alliance Foundation.

The stock photo library was the first company to pledge a scholarship which was presented at the organization’s first ever awards ceremony in October 2009 and is renewing its support for the 2010 scholarship programme.
Jerry Tavin, a founder of YPA said: “Alamy has been extraordinary in recognizing the importance of supporting young emerging photographers. It continues to provide YPA with important support of its programs and all of us at YPA thank the company.”
Alamy’s Head of Content, Alan Capel added: “We are delighted to be supporting YPA again. Such initiatives provide youthful creators with tremendous support and guidance at a crucial stage in their professional development.”
At the annual YPA scholarship event in October 2009, the Alamy Scholarship Award was presented to Julianne Jamora of the School for Visual Arts by renowned photographer, Mary Ellen Mark
