PRESS RELEASE

Getty Images has today launched a new online Artist Digital Toolbox for its contributors, providing them with the free tools and support they need to promote themselves as a Getty Images contributor and to direct traffic to their specific work on the Getty Images website.

The toolbox was created exclusively for Getty Images’ contributors following their requests for tools, apps, logos and web banners they could use to help steer traffic to their images and footage on www.gettyimages.com from their websites, Flickr accounts, blogs and social media channels. Three versions of the ‘I’m a Getty Images Artist’ logo are available for use on blogs and social media, providing choice and flexibility for contributors. Logos are also available to watermark images and footage, helping to protect these from unauthorised use. Contributors are also able to personalise every tool, as well as choose the imagery and footage they would like to showcase and can select to use either static or dynamic web banners on their personal websites.

“We are delighted to launch this new Artist Digital Toolbox,” said Andrew Saunders, VP Creative Imagery, Getty Images. “We have been listening to our contributor’s feedback to discover what we can do to support them and their work, and the Artist Digital Toolbox is borne out of this feedback. In this age of digital communication and social media, we are confident that this will provide contributors with a comprehensive range of tools to support their work and we are also excited to offer them the opportunity to participate in the Contributor Affiliate Programme, to recognise their contribution to our business.”

Getty Images is also launching the Contributor Affiliate Programme, offering contributors the opportunity to earn commission as a result of directing traffic from their personal websites and social

media channels to www.gettyimages.com which then results in purchases. Contributors can sign up to the programme quickly online and can then earn 15% commission for new users or 7% for existing Getty Images customers on all sales. Full details of the affiliate programme and how contributors can join are available online at: http://artist.gettyimages.com/affiliate_program

The Artist Digital Toolkit provides all contributors with step by step guides to using each of the tools and full details of the affiliate programme. Tools are free to download for all Getty Images contributors.
