Getty Images is adding the Gamma-Keystone Collection to its archival offering

Getty Images has today announced the addition of a new collection, Gamma – Keystone, to its offering. This renowned collection hails from the Gamma Presse Agence and Keystone-France, which represent a wealth of photography showcasing all aspects of European life over the past 75 years. The collection launches with approximately 55,000 digitised images, eventually building to a collection of over 750,000 and is available online at www.gettyimages.com/gammarapho.

The new Gamma – Keystone collection complements and expands upon Getty Images’ current editorial collection, bringing a greater depth to Getty Images’ already extensive archives and offering customers access to a vast range of images from renowned photographers. The prestigious new collection has a strong European influence, reflecting European life over the past seven decades, including images from key historical events such as the Algerian War, Paris during the Belle Epoch to images of Princess Grace of Monaco. The Gamma-Keystone collection will provide Getty Images’ customers with access to one of the richest veins of archival photography in Europe.

Gamma Presse Agence and Keystone-France have been synonymous with photojournalism of the highest calibre and together their collections include more than 10 million images in print, negative and glass plate form. Getty Images’ new Gamma – Keystone Collection combines the extensive archival collections of Keystone-France and the Gamma Presse Agence with the quality and accessibility Getty Images is known for, and is another example of Getty Images’ commitment to providing customers with an extensive variety of high quality content.

Getty Images currently has more than 25 million images available online, across both creative and editorial collections, with an extensive archival collection available to customers through deep-file research. The Gamma – Keystone collection will add an additional 750,000 images to Getty Images’ offering, with an initial 55,000 images immediately available from today.
