Minus Makes Photosharing Minimalist
Minus is a new service that allows users to easily get images from the desktop to the browser. The userinterface is very simple, no extra functionality, just single-mindedly doing what it says on the tin. Once images are online they can be shared with friends. The product was conceived in September 2010 in Boston, MA.
Despite the fact that the product is very young the site already has millions of hits and hundreds of thousands of uploads. The team of two plans to generate revenue through advertising.
The code is based on the open source Dropmocks, a sideproject of Google engineer Glen Murphy.
