Mobile Photo Sharing App Gets $41 Million Funding…Before Launch

Color is a new Photo sharing application that takes a different approach from existing apps. With Color you don’t have to be friends with someone to share pictures. Photos are public and are shared with others in your proximity. On the basis of people that spend time near you it determines your network itself. This means you will see pictures that your friends have taken in the same location before you visited. But be careful, if you don’t spend a lot of time with your friends the pictures will start to face and disappear over time.

The application already received a lot of attention, despite early glitches. This is due to the $41 million it received in funding, which in turn, may be a result of a number of high profile people in the management team.
