Corbis Partners With National Theatre
Corbis partners with the National Theatre for Festival! Exhibition
PRESS RELEASE
Corbis Images (www.corbisimages.com), a leading visual media provider for the creative community, today announced that they will be providing images for the Festival! Exhibition opening at the National Theatre, Southbank.
The exhibition, which opens today, will be running until Monday 4th June and includes photography capturing festivals from around the world, from the Corbis archive. From the riotous colour and noise of Rio to the more cerebral rhythms of Hay, the gallery promises to be an exciting and exhilarating experience.
“As the National Theatre’s Photographic Images Partner, Corbis is proud to be involved in such an exuberant and dynamic display’ said Vanessa Kramer, Director of Editorial Stock, EMEA at Corbis. “The content in the exhibition includes festivals celebrating harvests, music, books, tomatoes, and even bog snorkeling!”
Photographs in the exhibition tap into the summer festival-going trend, and have won plaudits from commentators such as Gemma Cairney from BBC Radio 1 Extra, who said:
“Nowhere else in the world would squelchy, brown mud be embraced with such satisfaction and glee except at a festival. This picture [see below] reminds me how the rules are forgotten for those few days.”
