Emap and Medianews raising paywalls

Following the heated debate about the viability of paywalls to Mediagroups have announced they are introducng them for all or some of their publicagtions. Emap will introduce paywalls across its magazine website in the coming two weeks. This is a reversal of its policy for free content. Titles including Drapers, Health Service Journal and Retail. MediaNews Group also announced that some of its larger papers such as The Denver Post and San Jose Mercury News, would likely add a pay wall approach if the York and Chico efforts prove successful: “We are going to be rolling out for the next two years.
