Footage Marketplace, an industry exhibition taking place in London on the 1st of May sees the launch of a number of new footage collections
PRESS RELEASE
Footage Marketplace, the major industry exhibition to be held in BAFTA, Piccadilly, London on 1st May, will see the launch of several new stock footage collections. Organised by leading directory publishers, Stock Footage Online, Footage Marketplace promises to be a valuable event for all editors, researchers, producers, designers, art directors and everyone who buys stock footage.
Robert Harding World Imagery will be presenting its recently acquired stock footage library, Specialist Stock. ‘This is our springboard for footage,’ says Robert Harding. ‘Our future plans are to develop this side of our business in a substantial way and this provides us with a broad content base. I believe that this is an important move as there will be a higher demand for footage in future across many different platforms.
Thinking on similar lines, but in a different field, is the Bridgeman Art Library. It sees its footage collection as complementing its world famous library of high quality stills of art, culture and history. ‘It’s a good mix, of both contemporary and archive footage,’ says Rachel Brinton-Matthews. ‘We will be launching the collection at Footage Marketplace. It is a very exciting development for us.’
Footage Marketplace will be held on Tuesday 1s May, 9.30-5pm, at British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BATFA), 195 Piccadilly, London W1J 9LN. Entry is free, as is the buffet lunch, although pre-registration is essential. To register for entry to the exhibition, please visit
