Getty Images announces second Golf agreement

Getty Images has renewed another golf licensing deal, this time with the Ladies Professional Golf Association.

PRESS RELEASE

Getty Images, Inc., today announced its renewed commercial licensing partnership with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). Under the agreement, Getty Images will continue to serve as the exclusive worldwide commercial imagery licensing partner of the LPGA.

The renewed partnership allows Getty Images and the LPGA to continue to offer the most comprehensive photographic coverage of the LPGA. Getty Images will manage the commercial licensing and sales of images from LPGA events via gettyimages.com, which will allow both entities to service marketing partners and other third-party outlets from around the globe.

“Getty Images continues to see demand for compelling, high-quality golf imagery from both editorial and advertising customers,” said Carmin Romanelli, vice president of sales, Getty Images. “We are delighted to have renewed our partnership with the LPGA as it allows us to enhance our editorial offering with a collection of powerful imagery that documents the evolution of the LPGA.”

Getty Images will provide clients around the world with immediate access to complete photographic coverage of the LPGA, one of the world’s truly global sports properties. Getty Images will also continue to conduct feature photo shoots and portrait sessions with LPGA players, as well as provide complete tournament coverage at every official LPGA event, including all majors and The Solheim Cup.

“The comprehensive library of LPGA photographs that Getty Images provides not only showcases the best golfers in the world in action, but also highlights their diversity and unique personalities,” said Jon Podany, LPGA chief marketing officer. “We are happy to renew our successful partnership with Getty Images and look forward to the stories that will be told through their photos in the future.”
