Microstock service offering free trials

When we first published about Lookstat they had just relaunched their service for Microstock Photographers. A few months later here’s a short update on this Seattle based company that has quickly found a loyal following and support from the microstock community.

Lookstat are launching a free 25 day trial for their microstock keywording and uploading service. It’s also been posting some of the analytics on the Lookstat Blog. The analytics can help microstock photographers determine what subjects and formats to shoot. For example it shows that while the amount of horizontal and vertical images being submitted is about the same the horizontal ones earned over twice the amount per image. Data from the system also showed that pictures of dogs have an earning potential that is four times as high as those of cats.

Here’s a reminder of the service Lookstat provides to Microstock Photographers:

Keywording – IPTC-embedded title, description and 30-50 keywords that are SEO friendly and microstock compliant.

Retouching – All image post-processing including RAW conversion, color correction, cleanup and logo removal.

Uploading & Submission – Uploading and submission of images to up to 10 microstock sites. This includes complete management of the submission process including upload quotas, model release attachment and resubmission.

Analytics – Automated image level sales tracking and analytics to allow photographers to quickly spot trends and determine their ROI.
