October Creative Research: Hooked on Halloween

This year, spending on Halloween costumes, treats and decorations is expected to climb yet again. Participation is at an all-time-high, with 88% of kids and 47% adults planning to don costumes. According to a recent poll, the majority of costumes this year will be inspired by classic Halloween themes (30%), Movies and TV (24%), History (7%), and Celebrities (7%). Supporting our fascination with cult shows and celebrities, Google reports that the most searched costumes include Minions (Despicable Me), Miley Cyrus, Walter White (Breaking Bad), Daenerys (Game of Thrones), Batman, Gatsby and Daft Punk.
