Photoshot makes 14th acquisition
Barely a week after the integration of Retna UK , Photoshot, a London-based stockphotography agency has announced its acquisition of Picture Nature , a company started by Fenneke Wolters-Sinke. This is the 14th company that is added to the Photoshot offering. The collection containing 13,000 images by 60 photographers worldwide has been fully digitized and will be added to the Photoshot website over the coming weeks.
The Picture Nature collection specialises in nature and environment and includes the following categories: Abstracts, Flowers, Plants, Wildlife, Landscapes, Seascapes, Underwater World, People & Environment such as Outdoor Pursuits, History, Travel, Agriculture and Lifestyle. Charles Taylor, Managing Director of Photoshot said about the acquisition:
“The addition of PictureNature to our family of collections is another significant milestone in our plan to establish Photoshot as a quality based, full service, international, photo library group. PictureNature perfectly compliments our existing nature, environmental and horticultural collections, NHPA, Woodfall and Photos Horticultural.”
“We have now bought a total of fourteen complementary photo businesses since 2001,” Charles continued, “and service customers from wholly owned offices in New York, London, L.A. and Hamburg. With this growth, we are confident that we can supply a broad range of quality imagery to picture buyers, be the image a live news picture, an archival record, an entertainment event or exclusive celebrity portrait, a travel shot or a wildlife image or a creative shoot. Photoshot is one of only a few agencies that can supply this mixture of live and stock imagery.”
Fenneke Wolters-Sinke, photographer and creator PictureNature said, “I’m very pleased that Photoshot has chosen to take over our collection. Their wide international clients base, subagents network and the fact that they continue PictureNature as a separate collection alongside other strong brands that they own, will definitely increase exposure for our images.
Scotland-based Wolters-Sinke will continue to work on photography workshops and spend more time taking pictures again.
