Preventing image theft instead of fighting it
There are a number of ways to find images that are used online without authorization. CDI-Systems from Israel presented a suite of solutions for image sellers at CEPIC 2010 and one of the modules helps to prevent image theft. In this short introduction by COO Gedaliah Gurfein you can see how it’s now impossible to right-click and copy an image. Moving it to a document leads to a copyright sign being shown. The company feels that while image tracking is important it’s better to prevent the theft in the first place. Have a look at these short video’s for a demo. Feel free to comment and let us know what you think about this solution.
The video is in two parts, with so many companies online at the presentation area bandwidth was a bit slow so I paused while we waited for the information to come in.
More information about the company can be found the the CDI Systems website and you can find the profile of the presenter in the CDI about section.
