PRESS RELEASE

Thought Equity Motion, Inc., a leading provider of video platform and footage licensing services, announced today an extension of its exclusive footage licensing agreement with Cinesound Movietone Productions, an archival Australian and international newsreel collection.  Under the new agreement, the entire collection will eventually be available online for the production community to search, preview and license on www.thoughtequity.com.

“Thought Equity Motion has helped us license Cinesound Movietone Productions content since 2007 through ‘offline’ research requests, but over the years we’ve witnessed how the company has successfully preserved and brought other offline footage archives from world renowned media companies into their ‘online’ licensing platform,” said Glenn Eley, Operations Manager at Cinesound Movietone Productions.  “We’re excited to utilize the company’s technology to increase the value of our archive, making it more readily-accessible for use in global documentary, feature film, TV and commercial productions.”

The Cinesound Movietone Productions Collection consists of archival clips and segments from the 1930s through to the mid-1970s covering a range of Australian and international events, human interest stories, and celebrities. The collection features unique historic video of the Vietnam War, WWII, the Korean War, Australian culture, the British Royal Family, global sports icons, former US presidents, and international monuments.

“We’re looking forward to bringing one of the world’s most treasured archives into our online offering,” stated Kevin Schaff, CEO & Founder of Thought Equity Motion. “By bringing the Cinesound Movietone Productions Collection online, nonfiction and factual entertainment producers worldwide will save time and money during the research phase so they can focus more resources on the creative storytelling process.”
