Q&A Session and Expo for Image Buyers in NYC
Visual Connections will be hosting its annual Image Expo, including a Q&A Session, at the Altman Building in New York City on Wednesday, October 24th. This one‐day event is a must for image buyers, researchers, designers, art directors, and other users of images and footage.
The panel for the morning Q&A session on What you need to know about copyright, licensing and image/footage usage trends includes industry experts on copyright law (Nancy Wolff, Cowan DeBaets Abrahams & Sheppard LLP), footage (Jessica Berman‐Bogdan, Global ImageWorks), licensing (Chad Newell, Media Bakery), technology (Doug Dawirs, PacaSearch developer), editorial buying (Chris Bain, Sterling Publishing) and creative art buying (Sheri Radel Rosenberg, freelance producer), moderated by industry leader and innovator Doug Brooks.
The expo offers a unique opportunity to discover new and inspiring image collections from around the world, and meet existing suppliers in person. New to the expo this year are 123RF, Arcangel Images, AUGUST, British Library Images Online, Design Pics, ImageBrief, Living4media, Maskot, Mirrorpix, OTTO, Polaris Images, Tetra Images, ImageBrief and US PRESSWIRE.
As ever, Visual Connections New York is not just about work: complimentary lunch is served at noon, and drinks are served throughout the day, including beer (sponsored by Depositphotos and Photoshot) and wine from 5pm. There’s fun to be had at the ASPP (American Society of Picture Professionals) Snapshot Photo Booth, a massage chair (sponsored by ImageBrief) and a prize drawing open to all attendees.
Entry to the image expo is free. Tickets for the Q&A session cost $35 (if purchased online, or $50 on the door, subject to availability). The event is exclusively for professional image buyers. For more information or to register go to:http://www.visualconnections.com/NY2012/
