Corbis Hires New Senior Manager

Corbis has hired Jennifer Armstrong-Owen as VP for HR. She cos from Real Networks

Corbis, (www.corbisimages.com), a leading digital content and services provider for the creative and entertainment communities, today named Jennifer Armstrong-Owen as the senior vice president of global human resources. Based in Seattle, Armstrong-Owen will lead human resources across the U.S., Europe and Asia for Corbis and its expanding family of brands.

In this role, Armstrong-Owen will be responsible for the innovation and execution of a global human resources strategy to support the company’s overall business objectives, while partnering with the rest of the senior management team to build a strong, effective company culture.

“Jenny brings with her an extensive range of leadership skills that will greatly benefit our growing brand,” said Gary Shenk, chief executive officer of Corbis. “Her expertise inworking with a diverse workforce and strong business management experience will play a critical role in further strengthening Corbis’ employee-focused culture.”

Armstrong-Owen joins Corbis from RealNetworks, Inc. where she served as the vice president of global human resources and worked extensively with employees in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Prior to RealNetworks, Armstrong-Owen worked with Group Health Cooperative where she served as compensation manager. In both roles, Armstrong-Owen oversaw performance management and compensation programs for thousands of company employees.
