Getty Images has signed a strategic partnership with Universal Music Group and will be the Global content partner for the Volvo Ocean Race

UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP PARTNERSHIP RELEASE

Getty Images, the world’s leading creator and distributor of visual and digital media content, today announced it has formed a strategic partnership with Universal Music Group. Under the terms of the agreement, Getty Images’ photographers will have access to Universal Music’s eclectic array of artists (including those with affiliated labels), with exclusive opportunities to capture them in concert, back-stage, at launches and private events and therefore enabling customers and consumers to get even closer to the music. In addition, Getty Images will work with selected artists from Universal Music to develop broader photographic shoots, including album and PR content.

VOLVO OCEAN RACE RELEASE

Getty Images is proud to announce that they have been appointed as Global Content Partner to the prestigious Volvo Ocean Race. The partnership, which has been announced today, is effective until July 2012 and will see Getty Images providing distribution services for all photographic and digital content through its website, a live feed service and its Image.net portal.

As a trusted and renowned supplier of sport related content to media around the world, which includes Official Photographic Partner to the International Olympics Committee and Authorised Photographic Agency of FIFA, Getty Images has proven experience in working in direct partnership with rights holders and governing bodies to ensure content is presented and distributed to the widest relevant media.
