Getty Images to distribute Disney/ABC Television Group
Disney/ABC Television Group (DATG) and Getty Images Inc jointly announced that Getty Images will be the exclusive worldwide third-party distributor of all imagery owned by DATG. According to the press release there is an increasing demand from “editorial customers for imagery that captures everything from behind the scenes to exclusive celebrity portraiture across DATG’s award-winning programming.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Getty Images will have exclusive third-party rights for marketing the DATG images to editorial users to promote the extensive lineup of programming across DATG’s various properties such as ABC Daytime, ABC Entertainment Group, ABC News, ABC Family, Disney Channel, Disney XD, Hyperion Publishing and SOAPnet, which feature well known and successful shows such as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Lost,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Brothers & Sisters,” “Hannah Montana,” “Wizards of Waverly Place,” “Phineas and Ferb,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “All My Children,” “General Hospital,” “Good Morning America” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” among others.
