Granger Collection Representing Rue Des Archives

The Granger colection adds over 30.000 images from Photo Agency Rue Des Archives

PRESS RELEASE

NEW YORK (September 27, 2011) – More than 30,000 images chronicling European and American history from French photo agency Rue des Archives are now available at The Granger Collection.  Based in Paris, Rue des Archives is an outstanding source for not only French history dating back thousands of years to the cave paintings of Lascaux, but also international figures from the worlds of fashion, art, entertainment, politics, and more.

“We are thrilled to have implemented a vigorous production schedule for Rue des Archives’ content because it compliments our own historical offerings so well,” says Lila Dlaboha, Managing Director of The Granger Collection.  “The archive is rich in celebrity portraits and candids, photojournalism, and lifestyle imagery.  Its fashion file, for instance, perfectly captures the pizzazz of life on the runway and behind-the-scenes views into designers’

ateliers,” Ms. Dlaboha adds.  “Without a doubt, this collection ranks high on any editor’s ‘ooh-la-la’ meter.”

Additionally, as a result of a recently expanded partnership agreement, The Granger Collection will now hold worldwide distribution rights to Rue des Archives images, greatly increasing high-demand historical image offerings to international clients.  The Granger Collection has been distributing Rue des Archives’ images in the United States and Canada since their partnership began in 2000.

Darius Shepard, Director of Rue des Archives, notes, “Granger has been an extremely important outlet for us in reaching a broader market outside of France, and I am delighted that they will now be bringing our unique images to professionals at a worldwide level.”

Rue des Archives images are now available at www.granger.com; a selection may be viewed in the Arts & Leisure galleries or by clicking here:
