Greek man gets £175.000 from Swedish producer of Turkish yoghurt

Remember the Greek farmer that sued a Swedish yoghurt manufacturer for putting his portrait on Turkish Yoghurt? This is what we wrote:

Why is he not amused? Greek and Turkey have a notoriously difficult relationship so being the face of Turkish yogurt has been upsetting. On the PDN pulse blog the lawyer of the man has reacted and the source of the image has been found. It appears it was clearly labelled as not model released. A commentator has found that the images was taken by Yvan Travert and distributed by Nordicphotos, Reflexstock and other agencies.

The portrait was spotted by a friend and the man on the portrait decided to sue the Swedish company for £4,5 million. He has now been awarded £175.000 in damages in an out of court settlement. The portrait of the man will stay on the yoghurt packaging.
