Imagebrief, a company that allows companies to post briefs for photographers has launched in Beta. The company has big ambitions and describes itself as a combination of eBay and Getty Images

RELEASE

What is it?

ImageBrief is an online marketplace that connects image buyers with a global network of professional photographers. Buyers post a ‘brief’ for an immediate image requirement and photographers submit images that are tailored for the buyer’s request.

Who is the target market?

ImageBrief is targeted at Advertising Agencies, Marketing Departments, Magazines and Graphic Designers.  ImageBrief is perfect for image buyers seeking images for advertising and branding of products and services who’s only other alternative is to wade through hundreds of millions of images online or commission work.

How does it work?

ImageBrief is an interactive platform for buyers and sellers. Buyers engage with photographers providing references, samples and feedback while their brief is active.  ImageBrief provides a secure platform for the image tender process, award, payment, legal agreements and high-resolution image download.

Who is the team behind ImageBrief?

Four Sydney based co-founders. Between the team we have more than 60 years experience in Senior Sales Management, Marketing, IT, Software, Development and Online Digital Media Startup success. Together we have launched 2 start ups from scratch in both software development and online digital media sales (an image library with more than 400 ongoing magazine publishing customers).

We have team experience in growing a company listed in the Deloittes Fast 50 and winning an AIIA Award for Best Communications Platform.

Vision
Our vision for ImageBrief is to disrupt the two sleeping giants that have a duopoly on the $200+ billion image sourcing market – Corbis and Getty (source Piclet www.piclet.com)

Search is dead.
ImageBrief is faster, easier to use and delivers higher quality results for buyers. We are confident that the ‘library-search’ based image business models of Getty and Corbis will be a secondary option to ImageBriefs ‘brief-based’ business model which reduce the time and effort required by the buyer and will deliver higher quality results at a better price, for less effort.
