Labour withdraws offending campaign poster

Another week, another poster scandal in the UK election campaign. First we had two Irish parties using the same iStockphoto model, then a Labour campaign poster using an unauthorised picture superimposing David Cameron’s head and now there’s another one. There doesn’t seem to be much thinking going into the use of pictures during this election.

This time the Labour poster showed a montage of the conservative leader David Cameron, pushing William Hague in a wheelchair. The original picture was taken from the popular British comedy show Little Britain. David Cameron was often photographed with his wheelchair-bound son who has since died. The poster has been withdrawn by the labour campaign.
