Free London newspaper to close on Friday 13th

After the initial consultation period that started a few weeks ago it has now been confirmed that London Lite, a free London newspaper will close on friday the 13th of November. The annnouncement comes a month after another paper, the Evening Standard announced it would move to a free model, supported by advertising. This was widely seen at the time as an indidation that London Lite would close. Earlier this year The London paper, a free morning paper closed.

Steve Auckland, managing director of Associated Newspapers Free Division, said: “Following a lengthy consultation with London Lite staff, weve together decided to produce our last issue on Friday 13 November.”via London Lite will close Friday 13th – Brand Republic News – Brand Republic.
