Not a cat in hell’s chance on charging for online content
The CEO of Future Group Stevie Spring does not agree that raising paywalls for general online content has a future. In fact, she used some pretty strong words to describe this possibility. This contrasts with a growing number of companies experimenting with paywalls.
“If you can get it free and it’s as good as a substitute, and it’s as easy to get to, that challenge is monumental, particularly in the UK where you have got a fantastic BBC news.
