Picture Buyers Fair seminar program

The seminar program for the Picture Buyers Fair 2010 has been announced. The event takes place on the 19th and 20th of May in the Barbican centre in London. Fast Media Magazine will be moderating two panel discussions that will focus on some of the challenges picture buyers and sellers are facing in a fast changing industry. To kick of the debate we published a comprehensive article about new business models for the digital media industry yesterday, do check it out.

These are the to panels we’re doing:

WHAT’S A PICTURE WORTH? | May 19 | 3pm

There are thousands of ways to source photography. Content ranges from user generated to highly specialised, difficult to replicate images by specialists and artists – and prices range from free to tailor made. Moderated by founder and editor of fastmediamagazine.comMarco Oonk, we’re bringing together a panel of creators, licence holders and buyers to look at how to get the best value from your photography budget.

MAKING PICTURE BUYING EASY | May 20 | 3pm

With so much choice, how easy is it to source the type of images you need in today’s world? Do you understand the process of search? Fastmediamagazine.com‘s founder and editor Marco Oonk, will be chairing a panel of Image Buyers, who will be investigating the challenges and opportunities of buying images in the digital age.

You can check out the full seminar program on the Bapla website. The event has been restyled this year and has moved to the Barbican centre for the first time in 8 years. Check out the list of changes and all the details on the PBF website.
