Qwiki Organises Information Visually…Well

Exciting startup Qwiki has just received $8 million in financing from a group of private investors. One of them is Eduardo Saverin, the Facebook co-founder that was  later moved out of the company, famously portrayed in the Facebook movie ‘The Social Network‘. The start-up earlier won Techcrunch disrupt.The companies mission?  ‘We are the first to turn information into an experience. We believe that just because data is stored by machines doesn’t mean it should be presented as a machine-readable list. Let’s try harder’

Best to watch the demo and remember the application generates the information on the fly. Finally, it’s worth thinking about the fact that as this is a visual way to represent information, images are used. Controlled iPad applications are not the only way in which pictures are shared. In fact, curation of the web is moving fast, but more on this later.
