Security and passwords

By Alan Capel – Head of Content

Alamy & Heartbleed

You’ve probably read about a vulnerability called ‘Heartbleed’ that has compromised the security of many websites. As a result many websites have advised their users to change their password.

The good news is that the Alamy website does not use the affected encryption technology (OpenSSL).

However, it’s likely that some of you will have used the same password on Alamy and other sites so it may be a good time to improve your online security by changing your Alamy password anyway.
