Getty Images Announces The Winners Of ‘Mishmash’ Competition

Getty Images has announded the winners of its annual ‘Mishmash’ competition.

PRESS RELEASE

The competition, which launched in September, was open to entries from around the world, with winners being divided between three regions: EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), the Americas and Asia Pacific, with one global overall winner also selected.

Mishmash offered entrants the opportunity to create their own short story or video art using Getty Images’ extensive imagery, footage and music content, helping to engage with and foster music video producers of the future. Each of the winning videos cleverly blurred the lines between imagery and footage, from archival to contemporary, to create videos which both impressed and challenged the judges with their creativity, inspired story-telling techniques, slick editing and innovative subject matter.

Ben Redmond from the US won the global grand prix prize for their A Runner’s High video, which explores the adrenaline achieved through running.  As well as overall and runner up winners for each of the three regions, a public vote prize was also awarded to Eugenios Baltartzis from Greece, who received the most public votes for their ‘Televisione’ video.
