Google Books Settlement Rejected

The heavily debated Google book settlement has been rejected by a New York judge after 13 months. The judged labelled the settlement, where Google was allowed to scan and make public vast quantities of books as not ‘fair, adequate, and reasonable’.

The settlement now needs to be redrafted as ‘opt in’ rather than ‘opt out’. There’s more information at the bookseller.com and I have embedded the relevant paperwork.
